Finishing Seminars at Atlantic Plywood

These half-day application seminars take place at Atlantic Plywood branches. Please refer to the schedule to find a location and date that best fits your needs. Due to limited space, preregistration is recommended. The cost for each of these seminars is $75 per person for your 1st attendee, and $50 for each additional attendee from your company, and will be billed at the time of registration.

Fundamentals of Wood Finishing

This application seminar will introduce you to basic coatings technology, proper sanding techniques, and material prep prior to spraying. This seminar will also review equipment setup and proper finishing techniques. Two systems will be completed during this seminar, a stain with a sealer and clear coat and a primer with a pigmented topcoat.

This application seminar will introduce you to the Greenguard approved and LEED Certified coatings that are available through ML Campbell. This seminar is designed to improve your knowledge and application techniques of Greenguard approved coatings, with special emphasis on the Agualante Waterbourne Pre-Cat, EnviroVar, and EnviroMax formaldehyde-free solvent-bourne coatings.

Wiping Stains, Spray stains, Toners, and Shading Lacquers are all used as part of a single step or multi-step wood coloring system. Learn how to create high-end finishes with the depth and contrast that your clients demand.

C.A. Technologies Shop Audit and Spray Equipment Seminar

This application seminar is presented by CA Technologies. It is designed to emphasize the importance of how proper setup of the spray room and equipment and the correct amount of clean compressed air directly affects the end result of your finishing project. Learn how to evaluate your shop's finishing area setup from the compressor to the spray booth. The New Furniture Line Finishing Seminar

This application seminar will introduce you to ML Campbell’s premium line of furniture coatings. This seminar will emphasize the new Design-R-Classic nitrocellulose line and the new Design-R-Select pre-catalyzed line of furniture coatings. This hands-on seminar is designed to improve your knowledge of sanding, gun setup, and application of spray-only NGR stains, shading and toning techniques, and applying the new furniture line nitrocellulose and pre-catalyzed topcoats. Troubleshooting Common Finishing Problems

This seminar is designed to help recognize common problems that occur in the wood finishing process. Learn how to recognize what the problem is and how to fix it prior to the next coat.
