Fundamentals of Wood Finishing
This application seminar will introduce you to basic coatings technology, proper sanding techniques, and material prep prior to spraying. This seminar will also review equipment setup and proper finishing techniques. Two systems will be completed during this seminar, a stain with a sealer and clear coat and a primer with a pigmented topcoat.
 
Waterborne Finishes
This application seminar will introduce you to water borne dyes, stains, clear coats, and pigmented systems. There will be special emphasis on the LEED and Greengaurd Certified Agualante topcoat. Learn proper sanding techniques, material prep, and application techniques designed for waterborne coatings.
 
Advanced Glazing and Specialty Finishes
This application seminar will increase your knowledge of advanced glazing techniques and introduce you to the methods and tools used to create specialty finishes. Distressing, rub-thrus, crackles, and glazing are a few of the techniques that will be reviewed during this seminar. Set yourself ahead of the competition by offering your clients a wider variety of high end looks and finishes.
 
Shading and Toning Techniques
This application seminar is designed to improve your knowledge and application techniques used to create color in wood. Wiping Stains, Spray stains, Toners, and Shading Lacquers are all used as part of a single step or multi-step wood coloring system. Learn how to create high end finishes with the depth and contrast that your clients demand.
 
C.A. Technologies Spray Equipment Seminar
This application seminar is designed to emphasis the importance of how proper spray equipment setup and the correct amount of clean compressed air directly effects the end result of your finishing project. Learn the basics of compressed air, siphon guns, pressure guns, gravity guns, pressure pots , air assisted airless pump systems, and how to correctly setup this equipment and the techniques used to deliver the perfect finish.
 
Finish in Style Seminar
This two-day seminar will review the systems in ML Campbell's Finish in Style Program. This program was based on industry research of designers and color stylists. This in-depth seminar will increase your knowkledge and application skills of distressing, rub-thrus, toning, and glazing. You will be among the few shops that will be able to offer their clientele truly unique and desirable looks. A seperate two day solvent based seminar and a two day waterbased seminar will be offered at the South Windsor, CT location, and a two day solvent based seminar will be offered at the Deer Park, NY location.
