These half-day application seminars take place at Atlantic Plywood branches from 9:30am to 3:00pm (unless otherwise noted). Lunch is included. Please refer to the schedule below to find a location and date that best fits your needs. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required. The cost for each of these seminars is $25 per person and $25 for each additional attendee from your company.
ML Campbell's Introduction to Wood Finishing
This Introduction to Wood Finishing Seminar will introduce you to the fundamentals of wood finishing. Topics that will be covered are basic coatings technology and types of coatings, understanding wood, how solvents affect coatings, proper sanding techniques, and material prep before spraying.
This seminar will also review proper equipment set-up and spraying techniques. ML Campbell’s full line of pre-catalyzed, post-catalyzed, and water-based offerings will be reviewed. Two systems will be completed during this seminar: a stain with a sealer and clear coat, and a primer with a pigmented topcoat.

Milesi Fundamentals of Wood Finishing
This Introduction to Wood Finishing Seminar will introduce you to the fundamentals of wood finishing. Topics that will be covered are basic coatings technology and types of coatings, understanding wood, how solvents affect coatings, proper sanding techniques, and material prep before spraying.
This seminar will also review proper equipment set-up and spraying techniques. Milesi’s full line of Aromatic, Acrylic, and water based 1K and 2K polyurethanes offerings will be reviewed. Three systems will be completed during this seminar: a solvent system with stain, sealer, and clear coat; a water-based system with stain, sealer, and clear topcoat; and a pigmented solvent primer with a pigmented topcoat.

Milesi Introduction to Water-Based Finishes
This Introduction to Milesi’s water-based systems will introduce you to the features and benefits of Milesi’s extensive water-based product offerings. Both 1K and 2K water-based product offerings will be reviewed.
Learn how to correctly apply Milesi’s water-based primers, sealers, topcoats, stains, and glazes. Correct product reduction and spray gun setup will be reviewed for application in warm, cool, and humid conditions. Two systems will be completed during this seminar: a stain, glaze, sealer, and clear topcoat, and a primer with a pigmented topcoat.

Milesi and Mirka Abrasives High Gloss Finishes
This Milesi High Gloss Seminar will review the features and benefits of Milesi’s high gloss finishes. Substrate preparation, gun set-up, reductions, and application techniques will all be covered.
Mirka Abrasives will demonstrate the proper buffing products and teach the techniques to polish to a high gloss mirror like finish on both clear and pigmented Milesi panels.
